I Vibe-Coded an R&B App While DJing 2000s Stargate Era Classics
A founder story from Oslo: music × tech × flow state
There's a certain kind of focus you only get when the music is right.
This mix started as a simple idea: 2000s R&B classics with smooth transitions — the kind of soundtrack that makes you remember where you were when those songs first dropped.
But it turned into something bigger: I built parts of RNB Vault during the same session — live, in flow state — while DJing the mix you're about to watch.

The concept: music × tech × flow state
I'm Allan — also known as DJ Demure — and I run:
- Drop Demand — my DJ mix series + YouTube channel
- RNB Vault — a community/product built for R&B discovery and culture
- Echo Algori Data — where I design and build AI-first systems
This post is the bridge between those worlds: creativity, engineering, and culture.
Why "Stargate Era" still hits
The 2000s had a signature polish: huge hooks, glossy drums, emotional chord progressions — music that was built to live on radio and in real life.
This mix leans into that feeling: big hits, slow jam energy, and that clean, emotional pop-R&B crossover that defined the era.
The vibe coding session (how it actually happened)
Here's the real founder moment:
I had the DJ set ready.
I had the idea for what the mix should feel like.
And I had the app in progress.
Instead of separating "creative time" from "build time," I merged them.
I put the mix on, started working, and let the session guide the build:
- flow state decisions (faster)
- less overthinking (more shipping)
- instant feedback loop (music mood → product decisions)
That's vibe coding to me: shipping with momentum, not waiting for perfect conditions.

If you're a founder, builder, or creative…
This is your reminder: you don't need a perfect schedule to ship.
Sometimes the best work happens when you create a setup where:
- your environment supports focus
- your taste guides decisions
- your momentum beats perfection
That's why I'm building RNB Vault in public — and why Drop Demand exists: to document the journey through music.
